Paul qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1992 and has over 25 years of experience in commercial property. He is the Founding Director of one of the leading niche London surveying practices which was established in the mid 1990’s.

Having grown up in Harrow, Paul now lives in Hertfordshire and therefore has a particular interest in North West London and the surrounding Home Counties where he has undertaken a wide variety of projects over the years on behalf of owners, occupiers and tenants including NHS Hertfordshire, Lend Lease and Land Securities.

His vast experience in all areas of commercial property over the last 35 years has helped him forge a speciality in the residential development sector, and he has been instrumental in some of the most significant ‘off-market’ transactions in London and the Home Counties.

Owen started his career in the property industry in the late 1980’s, focusing on the commercial sector by providing professional advice to major landlords and tenants such as BP, Shell, Raytheon and BHP.

In the 1990’s Owen noticed a niche opportunity for converting office buildings into apartments, and worked closely with architects as well as planning consultants to maximise land value. He then started to focus on acquiring and selling commercial properties suitable for mixed-use/residential development and has been involved in schemes providing thousands of units throughout the UK.

Owen has an honours degree in Land Management and is a Chartered Surveyor specialising in development and planning. He is also a Director at Paul Adams Flaherty – a property consultancy firm that is now more than 25 years old.
